It was so weird reading back on those old messages. I realised i hadn't even contributed and also alot of the circumstances have changed over the years, especially now that some of us have 2 children, or got married, or even where we live (athough have to say none of my circumstances have changed in the last 6 yrs) Weird going back over the years.. |

We had family over there Shell in the Raf. So we had 2 holidays over there a couple of years ago. I loved the beaches in Protaras. I think the place we went to was called Mikes water sports. It was away down a big long path. There was also a place we used to always go to for breakfast. I cant remember the name of it, will need to check with Hubby. but they did a great fry up. Not sure if that was in Napa though. We went to a fantastic japanese restaurant too, were they cook everything on big hot plates right in front of your and throw the food about while they are cooking it! We were quite lucky as we got to see so much of the island as we had people who really knew their way around. We even crossed the turkish border and went to Famagusta. There was a beach and you could only walk so far, then it was blocked off with barbed wire. There was a guard sat in a little hut with a rifle if you crossed the wire. On the other side of the wire all the hotels for miles along the beach were desolate and run down, windows shattered! I would go back to Cyprus in an instant. Even though My brother in law is now posted down south in Southampton |
