Just want to ask your advice.

Im getting worried right. I worl for a parecel delivering company. I work in the office and mainly answer phones and do paperwork etc. I am often left on my own to run the whole office and warehouse. Like now i have been on my own since 9am and probably wont have anyone back until 12ish. Well i have just had a customer come in to collect a parcel. Well when i went out to the warehouse to get it, it was heavy. It had the white plastic ties around the parcel which made it easier to life but it was still heavy. Now what if i was pregnant or when i am pregnant i cant be doing with lifting these heavy parcels. Im really worried now, i may do myself damage without knowing i am pregnant do you know what i mean?

Love
Laura

Is there anyone you could tell at work that would be able to help you out without blabbing to everyone till your ready?

Or could you say your finding some of them heavy to lift now and are affraid you will do yourself some damage.

They should arrange something for you otherwise they're making you put yourself in danger.

I hope you find a solution soon

It is only guys here. I may sit down with my manager at the end of the month and explain that we are going to start trying. I dont know what they will be able to do if no-one is here but me. It does put me in an awkward situation because obviously the first couple of month are precious and i would never forgive myself if i done something to myself or the baby just for the sake of picking up a box. I do have 2 managers but one is away at the mo and i dont think the other one will understand so i may wait until he gets back. I get on well with his wife and i think she knows we are going to start soon so he should understand.

Hi Laura

Well I know you work with the two guys and at the end of the day you are in your rights to say you are not lifting them. I would personally just pull either one of them aside who you can talk to and say that you are lifting heavy parcels and don't want to do yourself any damage. The thing is I would just say what you going to do whem I'm pregnant.

When I was going thru my ivf for Alex I told my work that Iwas not prepared to go down the hub anymore looking for parcels. If youdon't say something they won't know.

Love
Shell.

Your right Shell. I will probably say something to John i think he would understand more dont you?

I will warn him that come September me and Jay will be trying and that i have to be careful around the office and warehouse. I am sure he will completely understand. It will need to be out in the open and the sooner it is the better. I dont want to be lifting something unaware that i am pregnant and it cause me to lose the baby.

Laura

I think you have every right to ask that you don't lift heavy items at work if you are trying for a baby. Every person has their rights at work. Having had a kidney transplant I know what it is like, being wary of lifting heavy things.

All the best.

Lots of love

Laura

I know the time is creeping nearer and I know we text today and you told me that you was stopping the pill. You will be fine to start your folic acid on Monday. I hope all goes well for you and it doesn't take you long.

Good Luck
Love Ya

Thank you mate, the wishes mean alot to me. I have just taken the last pill, so i am pill free now!!LOL

I hope it happens soon but i will be happy even if it does take time. I know these things do and i am prepared if it doesnt happen straight away. I know it will happen when my body is ready. I am worried about not having a proper period before we start trying and wish i had stopped it at the start of August but i really didnt want to risk being on when i go away!!

I will start the tablets tomorrow.
Thanks again - Auntie Shell

Lots of Love
Laura
