Default If You Need My Support I've Been There. (IVF/ICSI)

Hi All,

A few of you know that I have been through IVF/ICSI so I want to offer my support to you. Should any of you need to ask any questions I will do my best to help.

I went through IVF to get Alex and we was lucky it worked first time for us. Alex is here and he is my world.

IVF is not an easy thing to go through it causes many stresses but with the support from your partner you will get through it.

Alex is coming up to 3 years old in Feb and going through all the stresses was worth it. If I had to go through IVF for another child I would do the same all over again.

Love
Shell.
xx

Basically...Sperm microinjection, better known as ICSI, is a technique that allows infertile couples with male factor infertility to have genetically-related offspring. The technique was researched for many years, but it was only in late 1993 that a group of Belgian scientists demonstrated ICSI’s safety and effectiveness even in previously hopeless cases of severe sperm problems. An excellent chance of pregnancy with ICSI can also be achieved using the tiny number of sperm taken directly from a man’s testicle when there are no sperm in his ejaculate.

although you dont have to have mf infertility to use this procedure...it could be that the sperm are just poor swimmers.
