Aww at Izobelle. I know our school usually do 2 performances, one for the rest of the school and then one for Parents, as not everyone can fit in the hall at the same time.

Are you children doing Christmas Performances this year?

Braden's performance is called "Stable Boy" and he is a camel

Pulling my hair out re his costume though as I've been briefed:- caramel colour tunic and brown tights. The school will provide the camels head and the humps!!

Where do I get a caramel coloured tunic????

Our infants nativity is on the 7th & 8th of December (I think parents can choose which day to go). Charlotte's class are doing the main part of the play, can't remember what it's called but it's something to do with a toy shop and Charlotte is playing the part of a paint box.

The juniors do a Christmas show, unless your child is in the choir or plays a musical instrument then they don't do much. That is on the 14th December.

Oh Nikki dont let me get into a raving moan about the school play, it pees me off big time. Alex always gets given poxy things to be in the plays and yet parents who help out at the school their children always get a good part and its clearly seen by parents there.
Alex is a poor mans child... he's got to go in clothes that dont fit him with holes in and just scruffy. It really does take the pee, big time.

Nikki - Have you had a look on Ebay?

Shell xx

Nikki....I was going to say ebay too as thats always helped me in the past when Ive needed bizarre coloured t-shirts etc!

Shell, I think what you are saying probably happens at most schools!

As for Thomas and Katie KS2 topic is India so their school play is based on India! Not a very Christmassy theme but Im sure it will be fab

Blimey Nikki that is a tough one. Iv just tried looking but cant find anything maybe ebay would be the only option if not surely they would understand if he had to have a light brown or beige top?

Well its Jazmines first year at nursery and they are doing a carol concert which she will be involved in. I am so excited, not sure when it is yet. Hopefully going to find out tomorrow when i take her. Parents and family can go so i think there will be a few of us there and no doubt i will cry!!!hahaha

Can't find brown tights in any shops!! There are some on Ebay though so I'll have to get them there, even though they're £5

As for the caramel coloured tunic, it's proving very difficult, so I'm resorting to one of Jeff's desert coloured t-shirts that he wore in Afghan!!! It swamps Braden but not much else I can think of doing!!!

I have read through this post with interest.

Reception, yr 1 and 2 are doing the 'little fir tree' and the juniors are doing joseph.

Why do they always do these things on a wed, k and i are both working and neither know if we can get time off.
Alexander told me a couple of days ago that he is 'joseph' (as in joseph and mary) and that it is an acting part and not a speaking part.

The strange thing is there has been no letter home, i have no idea what is required.
Going to have to speak to the teacher tomorrow and find out what if anything is required.

Charlotte's teacher said they would be sending a note back about the play, but nothing has materialised yet.

I know her costume is done at school and I think she has wear something black, but that's all I know.

My Mom keeps asking me when she can attend the play and I don't know because they haven't sent the note back yet. All I know is they are doing it on the 7th & 8th of December.
