Default Not Happy

When izzy started reception her teacher was mrs dean, who was pregnant well she went on maternity leave a few weeks ago, but they had been intergrating there new teacher miss williams in for a couple of months before mrs dean left.

Now quite a few of the children became unsettled with miss williams and izzy even told me she didnt like her, but the last few weeks she has settled and has become to like miss williams#

well when i collected izzy yesterday from school and got home i was sorting all her stuff out and took a letter out of her book bag.this is briefly what it says

Dear parents

i am writing to inform you of a change of staffing in class RD (izzys class) that will take effect after xmas.

i have appt a new member of staff Miss Aisha Mahmood to cover the rest of Mrs deans maternity

what? i was so p*****off that they are getting another new teacher. and to tell us by letter which they know we would not of looked at till we got home.
It has took weeks to settle izzy with miss williams now i have to do it all again
i just cant believe they appt her 2 weeks ago and leave it till last day of term to tell us about all this

Now i know they do whats best for the school and yes i did have to speak to headteacher once about miss williams (izzy ran out the class and ran after me i was just getting to the school gate and non of the teachers in her class knew she had run out so there was a big todo about that)

but i have had so much trouble settling izzy in with mrs dean leaving and a new teacher coming in the last few weeks she has settled not full but it has got better now i have to start from scratch in january

sorry having a moan and want to write it down xxxxx

I would say you are not the only parent who has concerns , of yet again settling their children into reception..... Whats the point of a letter on the last day of term....if they had at least thought about it then they should have delivered the letters early so you as a parent could discuss the contents of the letter.

Having said that children are quite resilient and she might just settle in quite quickly, wonder what they are doing with miss Williams then??

Keep us updated, on how Izzy settles.

Hi Lyn,

I am sorry that you are going through this Lyn I do think its so wrong that they tell you this in a letter and also before the end of term so now you have this on your mind and cant even ask any questions if you wanted to.

I hope that Izobele does settle and that you dont have any problems and hopefully she will do. It is a worry for you though and I can understand that.

Please keep us informed on how it goes and try to stay stress free and enjoy your time why she is off.

Shell.xx
