Anthony has a packed lunch, in his Power Rangers Box. He is still a faddy eater, so I have got to try and entice him into fruit yet. Love Jo xx |

Thanks. The last few posts have given me a couple of ideas on what to put in. Although I do have a question about sausage rolls. Bought some from Asda yesterday to put in their lunch today, but I'm not sure if they are pre-cooked as it doesn't say. Just says oven heat for whatever time. Anyway I put them in the oven and let them cool before wrapping up, just to be sure. I also looked in Asda for harvest bars and couldn't find them. Are they cereal bars? |

i shop at asda and find the sausage rolls in the fridge section are perfect for lunch boxes, you dont have to cook them and being cold when you put them in the lunch box on a morning means they stay alittle bit fresher and are usually the right temperature by the time the kids come to eat them at lunch time. us moms need to save ourselves some time we spend enough time cooking and stuff!! kayla is doing ok with lunch i opted for packed lunch aswell like youve all said least you know what they have eaten.we havent had the healthy food list tho so kayla does take crisps and chocolate, but she has been bringing them home. she eats her sandwiches and frube and has a drink.which is what she would eat if she were at home so im pretty pleased. |

Well I have to say I am not that impressed with Alex with his packed lunches. Alex has never really been a sarnie person but then over the last few months I have managed to get him to eat some. Well all week the only time he came home and had eaten his sandwiches was on Tuesday. The rest of the time they have been left in his box. Today I was not impressed he had only eaten 4 crackers from his lunchables box and some bits of ham and cheese, the crisps, the raisens and the apple was all still in his box. I feel stresed about this, some moms say don't take any notice but the thing is Alex is usually having meals and eats them and if he is going 5 days a week and not eating all what i put him hes bound to lose weight. He's asked me for cheese spread for 2morrow so he's got that and some cucucmber he would live on SAlad but there is nothing in it so I hope he will eat it tomorrow. I have brought some frubes also. xx |

Heather i just put them in the lunch box ive never really taken any notice oops! they go in the fridge and then i just pop them in the lunch bag, Deacan has pork and apple ones from tesco (sounds rank but they are yummy!) Shell, Alex wont strave himself i bet hes so busy talking and wanting to play hes foggetting to eat and could be running out of time. Is He hungry when he comes home?? Does he like cocktail sausages? they are quick and easy to eat maybe pop 5 or 6 of those in there and see how he goes. Deacans a slow eater and ive noticed hes leaving things (yoghurt and some fruit) and only half eating some other things i think because he wants to go and play

I get the impression these days that dinner ladies are much more softer than they used to be. When I was at school they were like female Hitlers, absolutely hateful and would not let us leave until plates were empty. It's a real pain sometimes getting their lunch together. They want to check it before we go to school. I made sandwiches last night, but then Louise told me that she wanted a sausage roll  Has anyone ever tried their kids with pasta? Had a look in Asda the other day, but it's not really cheap, so it's a waste if they don't eat it. |
