Default YR2 starters

So, how are the Yr2's getting on?

I think its been a bit of a shock for my two as its more work and less play!

I have had a few tears from Thomas, he hasnt really settled yet, bless him he went in ok today, a little clingy, but yesterday he was sobbing, thankfully by 9am he was ok! Will just take one day at a time and keep reassuring him....

We had a bad day last tues, he came out of school and said thats it i am retiring...bless him.
Aparantley some of the kids were slamming his writing book shut and trying to take his pencil. I had a word with his teacher as he was in tears on the way home and she said she was going to speak to those involved...no problems since.
He is enjoying it though.x

It is hard to move up to the next class and another teacher, bless both boys being in tears. I suppose the work will get harder, we are already seeing a difference with Alexanders homework load in yr 1.

Hope Benjamin and Thomas settel ok, i am sur ethey will and its ok to have a wee cry at home as i am sure that they are both fine when they are there.

Benjamins been fine since, i think it was just being in a diff enviroment, and he was trying hard to concentrate...he likes his space when he is working and the boys invaded it, which he got upset over.
The good thing is the teacher knows he is seeing the social skills teacher, and they know he has times where he just likes to be on his own, so they can deal with it.
