Default Alex had eye test today.

Hi All

Just thought I would share with you Alex had an eye test today and they said all is ok, however he does need to go back in 3 months time they said that he needs to be rechecked again because he may have stigmatism, he said that alot of children can have this and be unnoticed but he said whilst he is ok now he didnt want to prescribe glasses he said he will check him in 3 months and make a decision if he will need glasses then.

If he does have to have glasses then he will have them for reading, writing, playing ds, psp etc.... and watching tv.

Karolyn - I read that you said Alexander got ones for school and then also paid ones, I looked at Vision Express glasses and wasnt keen on the free ones but I guess we will cross that bridge when we come to it.

Karen - did you have to pay for Benjamins glasses?

The drops are a killer he absolutely hated them but he's lying on the sofa now bless him but was so brave!!!

Love me xxx

Aww bless him.

Louise doesn't have to wear hers anymore now, but as we were under the eye hospital, the first pair of glasses we had were from the hospital optician, but after that, as it was more convenient, we went to a local independent one and they had a nice choice of frames for free and didn't feel I needed to pay for them.

They were also good with doing repairs etc and supplying new ones if they got broken.

Aww bless him Shell. It may not come to him wearing glasses but atleast the optician wants to see him again in 3 months and see how things are then.

I know glasses can be quite expensive but like u say u will have to cross that bridge when u come to it. xx

Shell we went to specsavers, the kids ones there are ok (free prescription ones). He could have had a designer pair as i would have paid the difference...usually around 30 quid, but he wanted the shrek ones.
Also D&A do some great kids ones...he did originally want the starwars ones, which i would have had to pay 40 for, but luckily they were shut on a sunday....lol

Karen I dont mean this disrespectful but I would never go to specsavers because I had some glasses from there which was only suppose to have slight tint but they had prescription in them.

We are at specsavers too with Alexander.

He has 1 free pair which are nhs not bad but you are right he wears them to school so don't really mind are stretched etc.

The 2nd pair are nicer but still cheap. Alexander didn't get a choice...
