In pain - visit to hospital yesterday.

Hi All

Well what a day I had yesterday, had stomach cramps on and off the day before but then went to work not thinking anything of it. Went to go to the ladies room and I stood up and was in agony. My side was so painful and gripping and my back was just so painful and I mean painful. I just grabbed onto the seat because was in so much pain. I had been in the toilet and felt ill and was just holding the wall but I knew that I had to make it out to the first aid.

I got out to first aid and they knew something wasnt right, I was sweatin and everytime the pain come it took my breath away. The pain was so untrue especially in my back and side and felt like my skin was burning.

The work called an ambulance for me but they didnt think it was life threatening and said it would come in 2 hours. In the end I said no to an ambulance and would make my own way there. I managed to get to the hospital and Mom and Dad got Alex for me. I had some bloods taken, urine sample and xray and they just couldnt find out what the pain was.

They give me that many tablets I felt so spaced out, got home and Alex come in my bed because just didnt have the energy to do anything. I woke in the night 3 times being sick but then woke up not feeling too bad. The pain is there but not as bad as it was.

I said to my Mom I just felt like a zombie last night, the hospital said that if I stil have the pains in a week to go back to my GP for a review so I will see.

I am going bed now because feel so tired and just need to rest.

sorry to hear your in pain with it again. hope you manage to get some tests done to see whats causing it. you know where i am if you need anything

Shell - really sorry to hear about this. It must have been awful for you.

Hope you feel better soon and that the docs can find out what it is.

That sounds awful Shell , how you feeling now .I agree with Jayne - you need to rest . How long before you get your results ? x

Hi Nat - Its so difficult to rest when you have so much to do, I had my results there and then for the xray at the hospital and they cant find out what is wrong. However I have to wait now to get the results from my MRI but not sure how long that will be, I have been waiting a week so far.

I have still got the pains but to be honest I am having to just get on with things, just cant sit around and not do anything

Good grief i wonder what that was all about.
Hopefully when they get your bloods back you will get some sort of indication .....don't suppose it was irritable bowel...it can sometimes make you sick.

I know what you mean about having to carry on but do try and take it easy.
