Default Fussy Eater...

Okay I am having a lovely time right now with Quincy. Up until now we haven't experienced anything like this before but lately it seems he goes through these spells where he doesn't want to eat ANYTHING! He'll start to chew but always ends up spitting the food out. This is the same food that he has grown accustumed to no sure why he all of a sudden is starting this now. I am always changing things up so he doesn't get tired of the same thing all the time but it seems no matter what we cook he isn't interested. He had a similar spell like this about 2 weeks ago and now I noticed for the past few days he started up again except now he'll usually end up heating half and spitting the rest out. I don't know my mother said he might be teething which I thought as well but could a tooth really cause him to no want to eat? Any advice or tips?

Jazzy

It might be his teeth, if he's in pain he might not want to chew on things if it's hurting him. Keiran used to love frozen banana pieces to help soothe his gums!

I remember Keiran going through a stage where he only wanted finger food and wouldn't eat anything like lasagne, spag bol etc. I started showing him 2 different things to choose between and that helped. Also having him in the kitchen to watch and help when possible helped encourage him to try different foods again.

Hope Quincy starts trying something soon. Let us know how you get on.

It could well be his teeth if they are playing up and giving him pain and he as put some food in his mouth and its caused him pain maybe he is associating doing the same again and having more pain from it.

Claire gave some good advice and maybe let him help in the kitchen because you may find he is more interested then and will be more interested in eating.

Please let us know how you get on, will be thinking of you and hoping Quincy does start to progress really soon.

Shell.
