Was i on Tuesday Izobele's last day at nursery ![]() She went in fine in party outfit handed her teachers there presents then just skipped off i was ok thought no crying and i didnt - Until ![]() I went to collect her she came skipping to me with lots of things to take home, then she went to each teacher and gave them a hug and kiss, Mrs Lawrence was in a total state bless her, she squeezed Izobele, then we went to Mrs bergin who was Izobele's key worker and Mrs Bergin said im not crying as i will see you again in a few years with Alexie which i thought was lovely. I had done so well not shed a tear. Then Izobele went up to Mr Groves the nursery teacher and he picked her up and gave her a big hug and said i will miss you izobele, when i looked at him he was crying and that was it i fell to pieces, Bless him he is such a lovely soft hearted man and it broke my heart to see him upset, well izobele gave him a kiss on the cheek and he cried even more then she said Thankyou and i will miss you. ![]() All the way home i cried once we got in i composed myself thats was until i looked through the book they had made "My special time at Nursery" inside was a picture of the day she started then work that she had done, and on the last page was a picture of her graduating wearing a hat and sash so i was a totla mess again. Izobele was fine she got a little upset on the night when she was talking to her dad about her day but she said she is looking forward to big school in sept. xxxx |

awww that is just lovely - I've welled up reading that!! :0( I know how you felt, I was so tearful on Ollie's last day in reception last week. It is an emotional time - these key workers and teachers are a huge part of our kids lives so early on. Ollie hugged his teacher - she's retiring - and she really praised him and said she'd miss him and she knows he'll do well..that did it, I was off!! How lovely they did a book for her too! That's something to cherish for years to come Sam xx |

Aww iv only just read this Lyn, had me welling up so i can imagine how u must have been. Bless Izobele and the teachers. They all sound so lovely especially Mr Groves. Must be so hard working with little children then having to say goodbye, think it would break my heart too. They obviously built a lovely bond with Izobele and will miss her greatly i am sure. Such a lovely thing for them to do with her book. Bet its great looking back through it now. Be lovely for her to look at in years to come aswell ![]() xx |

Aww it is emotional to see your little ones grow up and move onto different places. Unfortunately I didn't have the same feelings about Charlotte leaving nursery, as I couldn't wait to see the back of the place. Although the last nursery she was at was 100 times better than the first one. |
