Default Is Breastfeeding better for your baby then formula milk?

When you are going through pregnancy they always try to push for breastfeeding and say that it does the baby more good? do you agree here?

I never breastfeed my Son and I cant seen any problems, I dont think it done any harm for me to give him formula milk (Cow and Gate)

Just thought I would ask for peoples views on this.

Hi Shell . I breast fed both of mine - gave it up at 6 months though , i just think thats what they are there for , i know the thought doesnt sit well with everyone , but as long as your baby is healthy and happy i dont see harm in bottle feeding , some babies dont take to breast milk they grow up just fine with bottle milk dont they xx

Yeah I bottle fed Alex but I wasnt really keen on breastfeeding anyway if I am honest but then when I had Alex I wasnt well to do anything. I just thought it would be a good topic of conversation and to get peoples views on it xx

I do think the midwives are too pushy , when i was in there was a poor girl crying her eyes up because she couldnt do it and they wouldnt give the baby a bottle until it was totally distraught so they were both upset xx

That is just so cruel that midwives could even be like that I dont understand it. If a Mom is dead against it they should not be forced. I dont see any difference in Alex to what a breastfeed baby would be. Yes they say its better for them but the Mom needs to feel comfortable doing this.
